An LGBTQ+ Community Providing Support and Demanding Rights that Protect Against Discrimination
The Lea County Pride group is an LGBTQ-led organization whose mission is to support the LGBTQ+ members in our community and to advocate for policies that benefit all LGBTQ+ individuals through creating community leaders, educating Lea County citizens and influencing policy makers.
We wish to create an equitable society for all LGBTQ+ people. We understand that the current disparities that the LGBTQ+ community faces are the results of historical and structural oppression that can only be addressed by empowering LGBTQ+ people to be effective leaders of their own communities, with a voice to shaping the future in which they will live.
